01
The project started long before THE KOR
We first met chef and restaurant owner Huseyin Yuksel at the beginning of 2020, when he was running Charcoal & Earth. From then until he transferred the business, Digiwings supported it across the website, Google Business Profile, SEO and GEO, social media management and paid social campaigns.
That continuity matters to this case study. We had already seen how Huseyin worked, what customers valued in his food and how a hospitality business has to perform across search, maps, social media and ordering — not only on a polished homepage. When he moved on from Charcoal & Earth and began a new venture in Brentwood, he asked us to build the next chapter with him.
02
A broader role than a conventional agency brief
This time, the collaboration began before there was a brand to market. Huseyin did not arrive with a final name, logo and identity and ask us to promote them. Digiwings helped define the restaurant itself: we developed the name THE KOR, shaped the brand direction and worked with our design partner to turn that direction into a logo and corporate identity.
That changed the nature of every later decision. Positioning, language, identity, website structure, local search and advertising could all grow from the same central idea instead of being assembled by separate suppliers after the fact.
03
Naming the restaurant: THE KOR
The name had to feel distinctive in Brentwood while remaining true to the way Huseyin cooks. Kor is the Turkish word for the intensely hot ember or coal that remains once the flame settles — the steady heat at the centre of charcoal cooking. It gave the restaurant a short, memorable name with a real connection to the product rather than a generic reference to Turkish dining.
Adding The made the name feel more ownable in English and gave it the confidence of a destination. The story now runs through the brand: two decades of live-coal craft, expressed in a name customers can remember and a meaning the website can reveal.
04
Turning the name into a recognisable identity
Working with our design partner, we developed a restrained wordmark and supporting symbol system around THE KOR. The custom mark sits inside the letterform and can also stand alone, giving the restaurant a recognisable device for digital profiles, signage, printed material and campaign creative.
The deep ember red, warm neutral ground and elegant typography balance two sides of the restaurant: the heat and physicality of charcoal cooking, and the confidence expected from a sit-down dining experience. The identity is distinctive without leaning on familiar restaurant clichés.
05
A website that tells the story and does the practical work
The website had to introduce a new name, make Huseyin's experience credible and help people act. We built the content around the questions a customer asks before choosing a restaurant: what makes the food different, who is behind it, where it is, when it is open, what is on the menu and whether they can book, collect or order for delivery.
The result connects brand storytelling with everyday restaurant journeys. The about page explains the craft behind live-coal cooking; structured menu pages make dishes, prices and dietary information easier to scan; and clear routes lead to table bookings, directions, WhatsApp, collection and delivery. It is a brand site and a working customer interface at the same time.
06
Local search and AI discovery built around real customer questions
For a new restaurant, visibility depends on consistent facts as much as creative presentation. We aligned the website and Google Business Profile around THE KOR's Brentwood location, opening hours, contact details, service options and cuisine, then structured the content for the searches people actually make when deciding where and what to eat.
SEO and GEO work together here. Search-friendly menu and location pages support conventional discovery, while clear answers about the chef, charcoal cooking, dietary options, bookings, collection and delivery give search and AI systems explicit, attributable information to interpret. This creates a stronger discovery foundation without pretending that rankings or citations can be guaranteed.
07
Atmosphere without a performance penalty
Restaurant websites rely on imagery, menus and clear routes to booking and ordering, but those elements still need to arrive quickly on a phone. We built THE KOR's visual experience to preserve the warmth and atmosphere of the brand while keeping the underlying page fast, accessible and easy for search systems to interpret.
In the Google PageSpeed Insights reports recorded on 23 September 2026, the published homepage scored 100 for Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO on both mobile and desktop profiles, together with 3/3 Agentic Browsing checks. The reports showed no real-user field data, so these are dated lab results rather than a Core Web Vitals assessment, and scores can vary between runs.
08
One partner across launch and ongoing growth
The work did not stop when the website went live. Digiwings continues to manage THE KOR's social media presence and Google Business Profile alongside its Google Ads activity. Brand, content, local visibility and campaigns are managed as connected parts of the same customer journey rather than as isolated channels.
That is the clearest difference between this project and a conventional website case study. THE KOR is a brand we helped name, shape, launch and continue to support — built on a working relationship that had already lasted years before the new restaurant opened.
