Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are and how we use them, the types of cookies we use — that is, the information we collect using cookies and how that information is used — and how to manage the cookie settings.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies, including local and session storage, can also remember information in your browser. Some are necessary for a service you request; optional analytics, marketing and external media technologies stay off until you choose to allow them.
How do we use cookies?
Digiwings uses a first-party preference cookie to remember your choice. The Google tag for Google Analytics 4 loads only if you allow Analytics. We use Basic Consent Mode, so no Google analytics request is sent before that consent is granted.
Google Maps is also blocked until you allow External media or choose “Load Google Maps” on the contact page. Cloudflare Turnstile loads only when you reach the final contact-form step; it is used as a strictly necessary security measure to distinguish genuine enquiries from spam.
Types of cookies we use
- Necessary: the
dw_cookie_consentpreference cookie is retained for 183 days. Contact-form draft data is kept in session storage so your entries survive a server validation error and is removed after a successful enquiry or when the browser tab is closed. The optional website migration checklist stores your checked items in local storage on this device so you can return to your progress; it is created only when you use the checklist and can be cleared with its Reset button. Cloudflare Turnstile may use security storage when you request the contact form. These items cannot be switched off because they provide the preference and security functions you request. - Analytics: Google Analytics 4, delivered through the Google tag, helps us understand which pages are useful, which calls to action are used and where the contact form needs improvement. When allowed, session storage also keeps the first referring source and recognises referrals from services such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity so that later form or contact interactions can be attributed without storing form contents. It is off by default. Google Analytics cookies such as
_gamay last for up to two years when this category is allowed. - Marketing: reserved for advertising measurement tags. No Meta Pixel is active in the current implementation. If a marketing tag is enabled later, it must respect this category and this policy must be updated before it is published.
- External media: Google Maps may set or read third-party cookies and receive technical information such as your IP address after you allow this category. The map remains a local placeholder when you do not allow it.
We do not place optional cookies merely because you continue browsing. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled.
Managing your cookie preferences
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the “Cookie Settings” button in the footer. “Accept all” and “Reject all” are both available on the first screen; “Customise” lets you control Analytics, Marketing and External media separately. A changed choice applies from that point onward. The map is removed immediately when External media is withdrawn; reloading the page also ends the current session for any optional tags that had already loaded.
In addition to this, different browsers provide different methods to block and delete cookies used by websites. You can change the settings of your browser to block or delete cookies.
